This qualification provides applied skills and knowledge in the area of Occupational Health & Safety appropriate to the level of OHS Representative or other such people whose main job is not dedicated to OHS but who take it on as a voluntary duty. It is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of OHS in the workplace, enabling the learner to participate effectively in OHS consultation and communication processes, hazard identification, risk assessment and control, issue resolution, emergency prevention activities and OHS investigations.

BSB41407 - Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety:
This qualification provides broad-based skills and knowledge in the area of Occupational Health & Safety appropriate to the level of OHS Officer or other such people in a full-time dedicated OHS role who works under the supervision of an OHS Manager or OHS Coordinator. It is designed to develop a depth applied understanding of workplace OHS compliance obligations in a wide variety of contexts, enabling the learner to contribute to the workplace implementation of OHS Management Systems, consultation processes and arrangements, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
